“This is my favorite restaurant in Auckland. I've never been disappointed with the food here. The ribs are absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is really great. They also host trivia nights”

“Amazing food, amazing views. How could it get any better? We had the seafood platter to share, I had Camapri and he a whisky... reasonable price and delicious. Drove up to the road to Arataki centre after, more stunning views! which was fun. A great little trip out of the city. Well worth it an not that far.”

“Went to a dinner here with work. Food was great. Parking is easy. Staff are really nice and it had a nice atmosphere. All in all I'd recommend it. The veggie dishes seemed to make the vego happy too (the trick for me for finding if a place is good is if the veggie dishes are good. It means they care about good food)”

“Professor McFussy and I found a table al fresco in the sunshine. Nice spot to pass the time of day. We had perused the menu outside the establishment and our orders were taken almost immediately upon seating. I have no idea of the time taken between order and delivery but the wait was not arduous. The meals were delicious and very tasty. I particularly like the flame grill flavour of the bacon. McFussy commented that the sausage was pale (not enough cramelisation) but tasty with interesting flavours. They were busy, coffee followed the food. We were warned that the barista was coping with an influx so our expectations were only heightened. The Professor loved her McFussy coffee but my "long black" lost one point because the crema had all but disappeared when served. It hit the spot otherwise. Hopefully an outlier event. The staff were busy but attentive to their customers. An excellent dining experience.”

“I highly recommend this Cafe. Customer service was remarkable. Very polite and helpful. I unfortunately did not get the name of the person at front counter but is etiquettes was commendable. I had my elderly parents with me and he made sure they were comfortable. I will highly recommend the warm dumpling soup. It was full of flavour and the portion was generous. We did not have to wait long for our meals. Please do visit if you are in the area.”

“Was absolutely amazing. Greeted by friendly staff and taken straight to our table on a busy Saturday (we had booked and would probably recommend as was very busy) Companion had the kumara burger and it was delicious. I had the platter "for 2" which was phenomenal decent portion of each item and all were delicious. We then had desserts and they were very tasty. All the staff were very nice too. Will definitely be back!”

“The Riverhead resturant is fantastic. The service is top class and the food is good portions, and the quality is brilliant and its finger licking good. I also love that they have cocktails and they actually know how to make them properly. In summer is great to sit out side and have a beautiful view of the water and in winter its cosy inside with the fire going. There is also a private room “the old Pub” you can hire for a function. I just love the atmosphere, vibe, service and food. Go and enjoy! I always go back .”

“We recently had my partners 50th birthday here. Duncan in particular gave such excellent service leading up to and on the occasion. Staff on the night were super friendly. Nothing was too much bother and everything was well taken care of. Highly recommend! Everyone loved the sharing platters.”

The cocktail of the week was mojito and i was pleasently surprised by it as the place is known for its beer selection. Will be back and would totally recommend. The chef deserves a recognition.”
