Sir Carpet

"I picked this company based on their reviews but I also used a Groupon so maybe that’s why I was treated the way I was. My Groupon was a carpet cleaning for up to 3 rooms under a certain size. I also needed my area rug cleaned so I was quoted separately for that. She quoted me $19.50 for a 5x7 rug. When I called to schedule the carpet cleaning the manager was rude to begin with. I didn’t even know she was the manager until I called back after my cleaning and asked to speak to the manager. Apparently my Groupon didn’t include a decent cleaning according to the technician that came out. That was the first thing he said, followed by “I can do a good cleaning for $60 more”. I declined and he persisted but again I declined. Then he asked me about the rug. After seeing it was slightly bigger(2 inches) than what the manager quoted me he said the quote she gave me was only an estimate and since it’s bigger he could do it for $40, I said no, he said okay I’l can do it for $30 then. Once again I said no. At this point I’m over the whole thing especially since I was working from home and was in the middle of working. I told him I’m only paying what I was quoted and nothing more. After that, he did what he came here to do and left. I did notice right away that only about half of my area rug looked cleaner so I used my barefoot to feel around it and of course it was still dry in the darker areas you can see in the picture. I was already frustrated by how rude the woman was when I called to schedule the cleaning and how uncomfortable the technician made me feel in my own home with his negotiating strategy but this was the icing on the cake. I decided to call their office back to express my concerns with the manager in hopes of reaching some sort of logical resolution but instead she tried to justify his actions and only after I said I was going to write a review about how they do business is when she said “no it’s not how we do business and I will handle this internally. I mean all I could really do is have someone come out and redo the job”. Given the fact that she knew of his actions and tried to justify them I knew that her “handling it internally” meant nothing. Having them come back out wasn’t even an option for me after everything that took place so that was it. I ultimately had to pay more money for another company to redo my rug and carpets. I will never do business with them again or recommend them to anyone. Maybe my review will save someone the discrimination and uncomfortable experience I had with this company."

The ease of setting the appointment to receiving the call that the technician was on his way, to having the carpets cleaned and the follow up call were all fantastic. I felt the technician and the company respected my time and money. They did a great job and did not rush me just to get to the next one, but made sure they did quality work in my home. I will definitely be using them again."
