"My kids have been patients at Desert Sun for 15 years and I have always been happy there. The doctors are great, but that doesn’t help if you can’t get in to see them or get referral or a human person to talk to or call you back. I will be looking for a new pediatrician, unfortunately."

"This is Michelle posting, Michael’s wife. I would avoid this pediatric group. My son had a wellness check last Tuesday and will need a referral for a significant but non life threatening issue. My son’s last name also changed many years ago after his adoption. Desert Sun Pediatrics has his old last name in their system. They require court papers and birth certificates to update their records. It has taken the office a week to get back to me just to let me know their office manager is out for another week or more and the only person who can update my son’s information is this office manager. If we want the referral for the specialist now, it will be with his old name! So this office is going to make us wait to see a specialist because there isn’t anyone else that can get in their computer to update a name?! I am sure the office manager has a supervisor who could do this?! They currently have all the paperwork from us to do this. Absolutely ridiculous! I’m sorry we returned to this pediatric group. Not impressed with the doctor either. I think this group needs to be reported to the Arizona Medical Board."

"We have been going to this office for nearly 6 years. We were asked to transfer our son from Dr. Patel to Dr. Delucca. I was not even slightly impressed with this doctor's temperament. His professionalism was below average. His assessment of what was happening to our son was terrible. All-in-all, will not return to this office even for our daughter with Patel. The people in the office were rude and unprofessional. We were asked to go to the sick area when our son wasn't sick."
