Anchorage Vet Center
The Anchorage Vet Center, located at 4400 Business Park Boulevard in Anchorage, Alaska, is a health institution that provides confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Services offered include counseling for needs such as depression, PTSD, and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma. The center is an official website of the United States government, ensuring secure and encrypted information sharing. New visitors are welcome to stop by during office hours or call to discuss how the staff can help. Walk-in appointments are available Monday - Friday from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm. No registration for VA care or service-connected disability is required for the first visit. The center offers parking directly in front of the building and is accessible by public transportation.
Alaska Native Medical Center: Emergency Department
The Alaska Native Medical Center Emergency Department, located at 4315 Diplomacy Drive in Anchorage, Alaska, provides full-service emergency care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries. The ED works closely with village health care providers to guide medical care for Alaska Native and American Indian people in rural communities. Staffed with board certified emergency physicians and nursing specialists, the ANMC ED is equipped to handle serious medical conditions and injuries. For lower acuity cases, treatment is provided by physician assistants and nurse practitioners in the Southcentral Foundation ED Fast Track, which operates from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. seven days a week.
