Dr. Mathieson earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Boise State University and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Her extensive training includes externships at a large hospital in southeast China, the Pearl Harbor Navy Clinic, and volunteer missions in Nicaragua. Following her graduation, she completed a residency in ocular disease and primary care at the VA Connecticut Health Care System.
