“Besides the variety of bagel or croissant combos on the blackboard, and goodies in the display, Kellie was very accommodating making breakfast for us. Scrambked or fried eggs, bacon, avocado, sautée mushrooms. (See photo). Coffee in photo is their large flat white.”

Be aware that when a 2* joint gives you a flawless 2* experience they deserve a 5* review and that's what this is. It's a run-of-the-mill greasy spoon corner shop takeaway doing all the standby favourites at the right prices and quality for the area and price point. What more do i need to say? You know what you're in for and they'll give it to you every time without fail. You're not coming here for anything special and you know that, but they deliver exactly what you want, very shortly after you order it.”

“It was a cold and windy afternoon, the place has a nice and warm feeling inside. Very friendly staff at the counter. Kids meals are the best we’ve seen so far, with very reasonable price. My boy also wanted iced chocolate from the menu, the staff immediately offered to do in kid’s size. Food was tasty and freshly made. Definitely recommend it!”

“A cafe/eatery located about 25 mins drive from the Adelaide CBD. Went there for Brunch. Ordered the 'A Little of a lot', which you get a little of most standard breakfast items. The highlight of it is their roasted mushroom, which is dry enough to give an intense flavour, but yet juicy. Also ordered the 'Mushrooms on toast 2.0'. As its name, it also have the Roasted mushrooms on there. It is still juicy, but the mushroom flavour is not as strong as the other dish, which have only one small mushrooms. It may be something to do with the size of the mushrooms, so the time on the grill may need to vary. It will be great they can master that too. On top of the 2 usual brunch dishes, we also tried 2 fusion dishes. One is the 'Happiness in a bowl', which is like a Korean X Vietnamese feel. The other one is 'Indian eggs', which is a lightly Indian spiced scrambled egg. They are both very interesting to try if you want something difference. It is a lovely place”

“Very friendly accommodating staff, great efficient service, able to answer our requests to cater for our child. Atmosphere was warm and inviting, homely and open furnishings with fireplaces but big windows to see outside as well. Toilets close by, kids colouring and kids meals. Food was sensational!! Servings were super generous and reasonably priced, incredible value for money. Really hard to find a good roast anywhere in Adelaide, the Roast Pork special was out of this world! The Sausage Platter was exceptional quality as well. Chefs did an outstanding job putting so many meals together and ready all at the same time, so quickly! Definitely will come back to try the rest of the menu.”

“We drove up on a whim after reading an online article about the property. The rose garden is gorgeous with many exotic varieties and a lovely setting. Although normally only available to specific groups, we lucked out and managed to have a private tour of the wonderfully restored mansion. It has features from the original wall paper and paintings, most enlightening. As far as the restaurant is concerned we were between meals, so had drinks and a good size serving of yam chips, nicely presented in a large cone and glassware. Tasty and full filling. All in all a relaxing and romantic (even after 55 years!), day out in the Adelaide hills. This would be an ideal location and venue for any business or social networking and educational presentations. Highly recommended.”
