Dr. Ravi Ravinuthala

Welcome to the practice of Dr. Ravi Ravinuthala, located at 4746 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio. As a distinguished doctor specializing in health and gastroenterology, Dr. Ravinuthala brings a wealth of expertise and compassionate care to the community. With an impressive educational background that includes postgraduate medical training at PGIMER in Chandigarh, India, and advanced training in England, Dr. Ravinuthala is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP). His extensive experience in liver transplantation was honed at the esteemed St. James’s University Hospital in Leeds, England.

In the United States, Dr. Ravinuthala completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and a Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at the Henry Ford Transplant Institute. He is Board Certified in both Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology and is approved by the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS) as a Transplant Hepatologist.

Dr. Ravinuthala serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at The Ohio State University and is a founding member of the Global NAFLD Consortium. He is the Medical Director of the Mercy Health Liver and Pancreas Center at Jewish Hospital, where he is instrumental in developing a Center of Excellence for liver diseases.

At Ohio GI, Dr. Ravinuthala directs the Liver Clinic, which offers specialized programs for NASH, Cirrhosis, and Viral Hepatitis. His clinical research and teaching roles enrich the Gastroenterology Fellowship and Internal Medicine Residency programs. He is skilled in performing ultrasound-guided liver biopsies, therapeutic paracentesis, and routine endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Ravinuthala has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and has held leadership positions such as President of the Association of Indian Physicians. He serves as a medical adviser for the Asian Community Alliance and holds advisory roles with the American Liver Foundation and Life Center. He actively participates in professional organizations including the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the American Society of Transplantation, and the Asia Pacific Association for the Study of Liver Disease.

Outside of his medical career, Dr. Ravinuthala enjoys traveling and playing competitive table tennis. He resides in Mason with his wife and two children.
