"I am a competitive wakeboarder who was suffering from chronic shoulder dislocations. After finally making the decision to seek treatment I found Dr. Chilelli and his team. I couldn’t be happier with my decision. After 5 months of rehab after surgery I am back to my full strength and able to do what I love again. Thankful for this team and their ability to design a program that works for my needs and keep me comfortable the entire way!"

"I was in a great deal of pain prior to my consult with Dr. Chilelli at Mercy Health. I had a partial knee replacement in Feb. 2023. The surgery went very well and the rehab has been smooth as well, thanks to a great physical therapy team that communicated well with my Dr. I feel at least 75% better after having knee surgery. I am now free to move on with my life pain free."

"I highly recommend Dr. Brian Chilelli. I came to him with a torn meniscus. I’d had a repair surgery 8 months prior that had failed. I’m doing amazing now, 7 months after surgery with Dr. Chilelli. Dr. Chilelli, unlike any of the other four surgeons I saw, was actually up to date on the science of meniscus repair. From what I could tell from my own research, what he did in my surgery was the gold standard of meniscus repair, and it showed. After surgery, my recovery progressed quickly, with probably 10X less pain and swelling than in my first, unsuccessful, surgery. Every other surgeon I saw said my first surgeon did a “good job” and they would do the same thing again. I would caution everyone dealing with a severe injury to be EXTREMELY cautious picking a surgeon. And I would certainly strongly recommend Dr. Chilelli. Every surgeon I’ve gone to seems to have a similar demeanor - efficient and matter of fact - that can IMO come across as uncaring. Many are just flat out cold and/or condescending. Of all the 5 surgeons I saw though, he made me feel the most confident that he was thoroughly assessing my situation and that I could ask questions. I did not feel talked down to or dismissed. He did not give me a clear recommendation during my first appointment, but made a point of leaving the decision of surgery or no surgery up to me. I can see how that would make some people uncomfortable, but to me that was even more reason to trust him."

"Dr. Chilelli gave me the bare minimum attention to my knee issue. After my first visit, told me there was nothing wrong and to rest for 8 weeks and see if it gets better. Waited two months, and nothing progressed. Finally got an MRI, and turns out it was cartilage damage to my patella. During my follow-up, he didn't give me a clear answer as to what his recommendation was. Additionally, he felt it necessary to talk down to me the entire interaction (as he also did during our first visit together). It's likely I was treated this way due to my lack of health insurance at the moment. Regardless, a diagnosis & clear treatment options would've been nice to consider and plan for financially myself. I did not receive those things from him. Would not recommend. :)"

"Dr. Chilelli strongly advocated for a knee surgery I needed as a patient, following the case after getting rejected by my insurance three times. Wonderful orthopedic surgeon and very great full I was treated by him in Illinois, disappointed he moved his practice to Ohio. Highly recommend!"
