"Dave and his team did a kitchen at my recently purchased house in Oxford. It was a major project that required a total gut job of a tiny galley kitchen and adjoining sitting room. They were clean, courteous, on time, on budget, and the finished product is stunning. It’s my favorite room in the house!!"

"D S DeWitt Construction completed a total remodel of my parents' kitchen in late 2017 which involved redesigning, gutting, and rebuilding the kitchen and dining area. During the project Dave met with them weekly to provide updates which helped them to understand the crew's progress and discuss any concerns. They have been very pleased with the quality of the work, but especially want to recognize Dave’s commitment to ensuring their satisfaction with the outcome. Dave has supported and advocated for my parents over the past two years after manufacturing defects emerged with the floor tiles they had selected. Recently the manufacturer agreed to replace the defective flooring and Dave offered to have the same professional who had done the original trim work come back to install new trim once the floor was replaced. This kind of long term follow up and support is uncommon in our experience, particularly in light of this being an issue with the tile manufacturer and not with the installer, so we felt it was worth sharing with others who are considering their own remodeling projects."

"I contacted Dave for an estimate regarding transitioning a half bath to a full bath. Communication was strong at first. I mentioned I might be interested in doing some simple additional renovations in the kitchen. He encouraged me to think of a larger renovation in the kitchen. I wasn't sure what I wanted in that regard. I paid a scheduling deposit with a start date of 12/1. I submitted selections for my bathroom project late November. I did not receive an estimate on the project until late January, after I emailed to express concern at delay. Dave said he had been waiting on selections for kitchen. It is not clear to me why he would not provide an estimate on the bathroom when he had the selections, especially given that I had emailed asking for the estimate so that I could use that information when arranging the financing for the renovations. It sounded to me more like an excuse rather than taking responsibility for the lengthy delay in getting me an estimate on the bathroom. He acknowledged he had "missed" one of my emails. When I decided to work with a different contractor, I asked for half of my scheduling deposit back, to reflect that it was clear that my project was not a priority to the company (a scheduling deposit is effectively buying priority in a contractor's calendar), but also to acknowledge the work he had done to develop the estimate. He refused. My experience suggests that this company prioritizes larger projects, delays smaller ones, does not take responsibility when they do not complete their tasks in a timely manner (two months for an estimate when a deposit has already been paid is simply too long). In short, I don't recommend this contractor for smaller projects. I imagine you are given more of a priority if your project is larger."
