"Came in for lunch on a Sunday and ordered the damn good burger with cheddar cheese and fries from the menu. The burger didn't come with any condiments, so I requested some mustard to go with it. After applying the mustard to the bottom bun and placing the lettuce, tomato and onions on the bottom, I topped the burger with the 3 slices of house-made pickles and proceeded to take the first bite. Overall, the burger seemed pretty standard for what you would expect from a burger at a traditional dine-in American restaurant. I think the pickles are what set it apart from other places, because they were really good. I think if they added a house-made sauce that elevates the pickles, that would really make it a DAMN GOOD BURGER, but it at least made it to the "slightly above average" category. However... things took a dramatic turn when I took a bite of the fries. I wanted to shake the cook's hand because those were some of the most perfectly prepared fries I have ever eaten. The size was perfect... they weren't those thin soggy fries you get from fast food places. They had a very flavorful and crispy exterior that had a nice crunch, as well as a hot, tender center. They didn't need any seasoning or dipping sauces because they stood on their own, but I think they could easily be elevated to new heights with a garlic & rosemary aioli or something. I was just passing through the area, but I'm glad I stopped here. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hours on Google Maps were incorrect so I let them know so they could correct it."

"Fried pickles were very tasty and made with their own "in house" pickles. Pulled pork nachos had excellent flavor (could have used more toppings). Fish and fries were very good as well. Looking around, we noticed that portions were very large. So we dialed it down a notch, as we did not plan on taking leftovers. Service was excellent - restaurant has only been open a few weeks at this point. NICE Job!"

"I recently had the pleasure of visiting Rockwood Bar and Grill inside Terre Haute Casino, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere at Rockwood Bar and Grill is fantastic - it's clean, elegant, and exudes a welcoming vibe that immediately puts you at ease. The bar area is particularly impressive, with a wide selection of drinks and a talented bartender who isn't afraid to get creative. Speaking of the bartender, I had a great interaction with mine. Not only did they make me a delicious espresso martini, but they also engaged me in great conversation, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit. For dinner, I opted for the Caesar salad with chicken. While the salad itself was tasty, I found it to be a bit overdressed, and the chicken was served cold. While I understand the appeal of a refreshing salad in the summer months, I personally prefer my chicken warm, especially when paired with a drink in the evening. However, this minor hiccup aside, I was impressed by the creativity of the menu options at Rockwood Bar and Grill. There's clearly a lot of thought and innovation put into the dishes, which has piqued my interest to return and try something else. Overall, my experience at Rockwood Bar and Grill was positive, and I'll definitely be back to explore more of what they have to offer. If you're looking for a stylish spot with great drinks and inventive menu options, I would highly recommend giving Rockwood Bar and Grill a try."

"The atmosphere is super nice! Love the classy chill vibe. The service wasn’t great, they weren’t very busy and our server took forever to come back in between taking our drink and food orders and she messed the burger order up and wasn’t super knowledgeable on menu items. The food was AMAZING! I had the tuna bowl which was fire. Had many different flavor profiles that worked very well together the mango salsa was so fresh! My husband had the Texan the meat needed to be seasoned but the sauce was fire and the house made pickles were really good! We also had the sweet chili wings as an appetizer! Super good but ask for extra sauce on the side. We went back and the food was still good but the shrimp Alfredo was very bland and watery. The pulled pork nachos were good we subbed brisket for the pulled pork. Needed more of the toppings, there were a lot of chips but not a lot of toppings but the flavors were really good! The fries are sooooo good!"
