Indiana Rest Stop 2001 Interstate 74, Covington, IN 47932

"The facility does not look very well, to be honest it needed a little love and care. Convenient location but it is not very clean. The toilets were filled with murky water that looked like creek water. If you need a break from the road, would recommend finding a different location. HOWEVER The facility has a very fun Easter egg that makes it worth stopping if you are a treasure hunter of bathroom fails :) Cute buddy bathroom ascetic, check out the double can! I really want to know the story behind this Construction worker 1: "Bro I need to use the restroom" Construction worker 2: "ok?" CW1: "we haven't installed the lights in the bathroom yet" CW2: "I know" CW1: "I am scared of the dark" CW2: "..." CW1: "will you hold my hand?" CW2: "First off, no that is weird. Secondly, there isn't enough room in the stall for both of us." CW1: "would it be less weird if you could use the can while I also am on the go?""

"Always enjoy Indiana rest areas, and this one is no exception, because they always give a heavy "creepy old high school locker room" vibe. It smells exactly like you think it would inside with the paneling and old flooring. Clean, but no one was there in the travel information area. It would be nice if they would take the cool, old pay phone seats and turn them into charging stations with little shelves for people to take a break, check an e-mail or two, or have a snack. You don't see those booths anymore, and I think they could be repurposed as a new feature."

"A nice quick stop. Bathrooms were clean. There were some brochures for various activities and places in Indiana. Nice areas for lunch in the trees."

"I gave 4/5 because they had a bit of a water issue when we stopped in, it smelled awful & looked just as bad. Possibly due to the cistern? The booklets & pamphlets were stocked & a worker was cleaning while we were there. As far as rest stops go, it was pretty average. Not bad, but it could use an update LoL! They still have personal payphone spaces, though only the booths - no payphones. They also have a wide variety of trees which made our Autumn-timed stop very colorful & beautiful!!!"

"The big truck parking is very confusing as to how to orient your rig to get lined up with some of the spots. It just wasn't planned very well and needs a a definite do over.LOL! It has the usual little building with bathrooms and tourist info etc.."
