"What a great spot for gas ⛽ and some munchies, very clean inside, I know because I keep it clean, coming from health care I know about being clean. There is a McDonald's with a large bathroom available from 6am to 9pm I believe, then there is a white castles that keeps their restaurant open 24/7 with restrooms to use. Unfortunately due to the drug use and crime in the area of Hammond particularly on Calumet Ave we do not have a public bathroom available, bummer I know, but we have a Great points system and good food, and affordable gas prices, the one thing I've noticed in reading these reviews is the fact there is no bathroom available here. Yes we are a gas station and yes we can get busy, but there are plenty of businesses nearby in fact walking distance from Speedway where you can use their bathrooms. Other then that I do feel out of all the gas stations I've been to this one has the best reward system, where you can practically save up enough points and use them to take .25 cents or sometimes .55 cents off your gallon, per gallon. So you can save a lot of money just by signing up in store at the register or download the Speedway app, which you get double the points every time you scan at the register. A lot is changing, but that doesn't mean you can't get more bang for your buck. My name is Rachel P and I work here, and I can honestly say out of the handful of gas stations in this area we are the cleanest,have the best pizza and snack selection, and can get you on your speedy way having the big lot that we do lol with a smile and great savings on your fuel, wheather your getting diesel or regular fuel. Our unleaded is probably the best fuel in this part of Hammond. Please stop on in and don't forget to scan your app to get double the points and grabs some munchies for the road! Oh btw I've lived in this part of Indiana for over a decade, left for 3 years came back and what do you know Hammond is still Hammond and Indiana still has the cheaper smokes then chiraq. For all you Chitown peeps coming thru Indy. We actually do have the cheapest prices on our tobacco products. For all you who are 21 year's and older. This Speedway is a staple on Chicago Ave and Calumet Ave, One more thing you wanna know how I know this is a good spot is because it's manager and main Boss lady, has been here for over 35 years going on 40. "No problems here, I stopped for coffee and bathroom. The bathroom was not available and so I did not purchase the coffee. But while I was parked, I cleaned off the windshield with their squeegee. It was an less than ideal stop."
