About the Business

Welcome to Bellevue Park, Belleville's first and most cherished green space, located at 401 Bellevue Park Drive, Belleville, Illinois. Spanning 27 picturesque acres on the city's central west end, near Memorial Hospital, Bellevue Park is an urban oasis offering a serene escape for visitors of all ages.

Explore the park’s tranquil 3-acre fishing lake, or take a leisurely stroll along the gentle rolling terrain that provides a breathtaking backdrop for small outdoor weddings. The historic stone lodge, a beautiful relic from the W.P.A. era, is available for rental throughout the year. Equipped with heating, cooling, a small kitchen, restrooms, tables, and chairs, it's the perfect venue for family gatherings, bridal showers, or corporate events.

For those seeking an active lifestyle, Bellevue Park features a double tennis court and a scenic one-mile fitness trail that winds through the lush landscape. Children and the young at heart can enjoy the playgrounds and picnic areas, while music lovers can revel in the toe-tapping summer evening concert series at The Band Shell, the park's Music and Drama Facility.

Bellevue Park is also home to the Belleville Angel of Hope Statue, a poignant symbol of hope for families who have experienced the loss of a child. Each year, on December 6th at 7 p.m., the park hosts the annual Angel of Hope Candlelight Vigil Ceremony. The evening begins with a touching program at the Stone Lodge, followed by a candlelight procession to the statue. All are welcome to honor their loved ones with flowers and participate in this heartfelt tradition.

Whether you're here for relaxation, recreation, or reflection, Bellevue Park invites you to experience the natural beauty and rich history that make it a beloved Belleville tradition.

"Very disappointing. The pond is not being maintained. It has trash everywhere. Dead turtles floating in the water. No fish. Plastic bags and bottles. Huge trees have fallen into the water. There is marsh all over it. The walkways are completely covered in geese excrement. The city needs to come in and do a massive cleanup, rehab most of the park, and restock."

"Lovely trees with a fitness area and a walking path. Has a nice playground and a fountain feature in the pond full of geese. There are picnic tables and grills also"

"The park had a great playground. They're doing some fixing up, so there are holes and mud all over the playground area currently. There are restrooms close by. They do lock at a certain time (around 6). The walking path around the pond is a great way to stretch your legs and say hello to the local birds. There are tables and benches scattered about for a rest or picnic."

"Big love to Bellevue Park. I believe it's one of the largest parks in Belleville complete with everything a park should have- playground, jungle gym, swingset, walking path, a World Trail Fitness Course, a natural play area (which is super cool and unique), ponds, tennis court, outdoor amphitheater, pavilions, a historic pavilion, drinking fountains, doggy waste bags, trash cans, memorials, several benches, a restroom, sculptures, and countless geese. The park has it all. I've enjoyed Bellevue Park my whole life- complete with days on the playground, sledding down some of the slopes, feeding geese, dog walking, tennis playing, and watching people fish. My dad and a best friend had their wedding photos taken here. It's a great spot for picnics and just taking in the natural beauty. Hospital staff from Memorial Hospital frequent this location as it's just a short walk. LOTS of goose poop everywhere, the walking path was full of it on my most recent visit."
