Reviews
"CHADS provides informative, age appropriate programs to aid in spreading the message for mental health awareness."
"CHADS is such an important resource. They are able to educate students and teachers about a difficult topic with care and compassion."
"Linda was great. Having a former teacher deliver the information is a big improvement from the years past. She knew how to read the room and make student engaged and comfortable."
"Awful work place. Not sustainable if you work part time. You’re literally only compensated for the time you’re giving presentations despite being at a school from 7am-4pm. So yes, you will be confined to a school for hours and if you only give a total of four 45 minute presentations.. that’s all you will be compensated for. You also barely get trained and then they have the audacity to get mad with you because you don't know how to do everything just yet. Their mileage policy is a scam! They don’t let you know til later that you will only be compensated for driving to schools a greater distance away than the CHADS office. So if the CHADS office is 14 miles from your home. You only get compensated for driving to schools 15+ miles away from your home. Their money is is their priority. The managerial staff cares about saving face more than their employees and they don’t pay well. This is why they have such a horrid turnaround rate. All around awful experience. Would NOT recommend."
"I have been a life long volunteer. I have never felt my time and skills were more valued or put to better use than with CHADS. The need is so great. There were 671 school shootings in the U.S. and this is getting a lot of much needed attention. However, 126,800 of our young people died by suicide in the same time period. One in ten teens considered suicide in the last year. CHADS uses only evidence-based programs, hires outstanding staff, has wonderful volunteers, and is making a real difference."
