About the Business

Strawberry Creek Nature Area

Welcome to Strawberry Creek Nature Area

Nestled on Upper Tenbrook Road, just half a mile past the intersection of Tenbrook and Hwy 231 in Arnold, Missouri, Strawberry Creek Nature Area spans 118 acres of serene natural beauty. Dedicated to preserving our natural heritage, this enchanting park invites you to explore its lush landscapes, diverse vegetation, and thriving wildlife.

Discover the tranquility of Strawberry Creek as it meanders through the property, offering a picturesque backdrop for your visit. Enjoy leisurely strolls along our four walking trails or relax by the pond, immersing yourself in the wonders of nature. For gatherings, our pavilion, located near the entrance, comfortably seats 35 people and is available for rent.

Please note that while the site has a portable restroom, there is no electricity or running water. However, exciting enhancements are on the horizon. In collaboration with the Missouri Department of Conservation, plans are underway to construct additional ponds for fishing and to enhance wildlife habitats. Future developments also include installing restrooms and paving the parking lot for added convenience.

To rent the pavilion or for more detailed information, please contact the Arnold Parks & Recreation Department at 636-282-6680. Pavilion rentals can be booked up to 364 days in advance. A $150 deposit fee is required for all rentals, including 5k events. This refundable deposit can be made 30 days prior to your rental date or at the time of booking, contingent on the satisfactory condition of the rental area.

We invite you to visit Strawberry Creek Nature Area often to learn and experience the beauty of nature. Your adventure awaits!

"First time checking this place out. Looks great for running trails this spring and summer. I don't like how it seems like you're walking in someone's backyard no matter what trail you're on, though. And the layout of the trails is just ridiculous... no rhyme or reason for any of them."

"Beautiful. Nice little lookouts/bench areas and plenty of trails. Well marked. Lots of wild life."

"A wonderful local hiking trail. The trails are well maintained, however there's a couple that could use clearer marking. Great place to feel away from it all in the middle of the city."

"This is a beautiful place to take a short hike and enjoy nature. The park features a pavilion with several picnic tables, and four short hiking trails which wind through the woods, as well as a small creek. The trail we took was a relatively easy one, and was about a mile long. I do wish it has been marked a little better. Overall, we enjoyed our visit."

"The uphill grade's are good exercise but I dislike how close you end up next to residents house's... I feel like I'm invading there privacy."
