Big 10 Mart

"The last time I'd visited this particular convenience store was when I was in high school over 20 years ago. I'm not even sure if it was a Big 10 Mart at that point. It's a convenient location, especially so tonight as I was heading home along 53rd street. I wanted a Gatorade Zero and some sort of snack before calling it a night, so I decided to stop by this Big 10 Mart to satisfy this craving. The interior looks much newer than I remember it being. The walls are painted fairly neutral colors, similar to the other Big 10 Marts I've been to. Some pretty earthy tones - green, brown, tan...really easy on the eyes. The floors are a new looking wood laminate, while the overhead is covered in a drop ceiling with florescent light fixtures. The same abundant variety of snacks automotive supplies, beanie babies (not sure why these are back...) and beverages is also present at this Big 10 Mark location. It's all familiar compared to the other locations around the Quad Cities. I found the Gatorade Zero I wanted and selected a Resse's Peanut Butter Cup for my nightly snack. Paying was fast and painless. The attendant was friendly and I was on my way within a minute. I'd definitely return here for a future snack if the opportunity arose. Thanks, Big 10 Mart!"

"Grill shuts down at 2:30??? Big 10 Mart is truly the worst gas station in this town. It seems all the locations just kinda do what ever then want. No point of ever going here for daily specials because they just say they don't have any..."

"On 10/20/18 I went to the gas station with the plan to put some air in my tires and to get gas. But all that appeared to happen was that the machine let air out(!) of my tire (Front Driver Side), I thought I was doing something wrong, adjusted my grip and tried again. My tire-pressure was suddenly down to 15! Panicked I went inside to ask for help, sure I had done something wrong. The attendant told me without any real interest that the machine was broken and had been for some time. I said and it didn't occur to you to put a sign? He shrugged, honestly not giving a damn. I couldn't believe it. I now had a dangerously low pressure. I asked for the manager's number which he gave me and which I called several times to no avail. What a joke, the manager's number doesn't even have a voicemail. Basically it's useless and clearly so by design. I asked the attendant if my presence was recorded via video and voice, he said it was with the same bored 'I don't give a sh&% attitude' as before. I stated for the record what had happened, and said that if my tire turns out to be damaged from driving to Kwikstar across the street I will take legal action against the owners. I also asked for the owners name to which he claimed he didn't know and couldn't locate. So basically the manager doesn't answer the phone nor do they have a phone number, nor is there a way to contact the owners and leave a message. I now get my gas a Kwikstar across the street. As of 11/9 I have started having problems with that tire."
