Welcome to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, a welcoming and vibrant place of worship located at 115 12th Avenue West, Milan, Illinois. We invite you to join us in our mission to LEARN, LIVE, and SHARE the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our community gathers for worship every weekend, with services on Saturdays at 5:30 PM and Sundays at 10:00 AM. We are committed to nurturing faith in all ages, offering Sunday School for children ages 3 and up at 8:45 AM.
At St. Matthew Lutheran Church, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper at every service, inviting you to experience the grace and love of Christ. For those unable to attend in person, we provide a live stream of our worship services on our Live Streaming page and via Facebook Live.
Join us for special worship services on Saturday, August 31st at 5:30 PM and Sunday, September 1st at 10:00 AM. "I have been a member for about 20 years. This is a close knit lcms church, service at 11 on Sundays, looking for a new pastor currently. My son who is 10 loves sunday school, which I personally think is saying something, especially since theres no video games etc like I've seen on occasion at some of the huge churches in the area. Its very fundamental there, however they teach the Bible directly in the sermons and read from it every service. It's family friendly."
"This is a truly welcoming congregation located in a historic parish which has hosted weddings, baptisms, and other services since the 50's, complete with beautiful stained glass windows and wooden arches. They are a full service congregation offering Sunday school and full time grade school classes. They also participate in many social outreach programs to help not only the congregation but the community as a whole."
