About the Business

Blue Hole Campground

Welcome to Blue Hole Campground, a serene escape nestled in the heart of Marianna, Florida. Located at the picturesque address of Marianna, Florida 32446, our campground offers a unique blend of natural beauty and rich history. As a part of the Florida Caverns State Park, Blue Hole Campground has been a cherished destination for outdoor enthusiasts since the 1930s.

Our campground is ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature. Despite the challenges faced when Category 5 Hurricane Michael struck on October 10, 2018, causing significant damage to the park's facilities and landscape, we have been dedicated to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of the area. While the park lost over 90% of its thick canopied forest, our commitment to preserving and revitalizing this historic site remains strong.

Visitors will find the perfect spot for camping and lodging, surrounded by the tranquil ambiance of the park. Although the cavern tours were temporarily halted due to silt and debris, our team is working tirelessly to restore access and provide you with the unforgettable experiences that have been a hallmark of our park for decades.

At Blue Hole Campground, we invite you to reconnect with nature, explore the stunning parkland, and make lasting memories. Whether you're an avid camper or a first-time visitor, our welcoming environment and rich history promise a unique adventure for all. Come and discover the resilience and beauty of Blue Hole Campground, where nature and history converge.

"Super nice campground with one very clean bathhouse. The camp has just enough sites to make it cozy even if it's full. Nearby there is a nice swimming hole with a picnic gazebo. Will be back.!!"

"Had a great experience. Small campground, short walk to blue hole. Located within Florida Caverns State Park. Sites are neat and clean. Include fire pit, hammock poles, picnic table, grill, water, and electric. Restrooms, showers, washer and dryer, and wood available on site. There is a bat house in the middle where you can watch bats come and go at sunset."

"The campsides are great. Large gravel pads (ideal for tents) with full hookups and a bit of shade. The blue hole is just a short walk away. Unfortunately the restrooms were in terrible condition for the two nights we stayed in. They seem to be restocked regularly but rarely cleaned and the AC is down. During out stay they were infested with mosquitoes and spiders. The blue hole is very refreshing even if is brown. I would not recommend the river trail and the sinkhole trail : lots of mosquitoes and not much to see."

"The campsites have all been upgraded with pea gravel, and a few are fully paved. Every site has a new power pedestal and sewer hookup, which is rare for a state park campground. The only negative is that they lost a lot of tree cover due to hurricane Michael and there is very little shade. It will take some time for the newly planted trees to mature. The water in the Blue Hole spring is also not blue, but brown. Maybe another effect of Michael. It is refreshing though, especially when the heat index was over 100 degrees during our stay. Definitely make time for the cave tour!"
