Our journey began with Guy V. Cochran and his father, B.F. Cochran, who laid the foundation for what would become a beloved local staple. In 1979, the first Friendly Gus convenience store was opened by Guy V.'s son, Ben Cochran, and son-in-law, Gus Ladson. Today, the Cochran Brothers Company, now in its fifth generation, proudly operates fifteen locations throughout Middle Georgia, each committed to fueling your family for years to come.

The management has a gift in picking out good friendly workers apparently. Since the recent remodeling.It is the best it has looked in several years.Looks nice and clean."
"I come here with my papa regularly One of the servers even knows my usual the food is perfect the service is fast and great and it always tastes good I love to go here and when i do i never regret it. "Being a southern guy I love fried chicken and sweet tea. This gas station slash restaurant slash convenient store has some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. To me the best way to describe their chicken is to combine Popeye's fried chicken and Kentucky fried together. "YES IT'S THAT GOOD". Next is their sweet tea. I have had sweet tea at other gas stations and restaurants but their sweet tea is the best. The simplest and best way to describe their tea is you just have to taste it. I am going to warn you. Once you taste it your taste buds will never be satisfied with any other sweet tea again. Don't just take my word, the next time you're in the area stop by and try it for yourself."
