About the Business

The Salvation Army Community Center

Welcome to The Salvation Army Community Center, a beacon of hope and support located at 2123 Tydd Street, Eureka, California. As a multifaceted organization, we are dedicated to serving the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of our community. At our center, we offer a place of worship and a range of services aimed at uplifting individuals and families in need.

Our mission is rooted in the love of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ, guiding us to meet human needs without discrimination. We believe in the power of spiritual faith to assist in recovery and healing, as evidenced by the 80% of Americans who share this belief. As part of an international movement, we are committed to making a positive impact both locally and globally.

Every year, we provide essential support to those facing challenges such as food insecurity, poverty, and domestic abuse. In 2021, The Salvation Army delivered over $3.8 million in financial assistance, helping families and individuals move towards a brighter future. Moreover, 82 cents of every dollar donated goes directly towards community programs, ensuring your contributions make a real difference.

Our Eureka center is integral to our mission, offering tailored programs to address local needs. From back-to-school outfitting at our thrift store to Christmas gift initiatives for children, we strive to bring joy and relief to those who need it most. We also focus on combating human trafficking and providing resources for victims of abuse, working tirelessly to give everyone a chance at a better life.

Join us at The Salvation Army Community Center as we continue to assess, build, and offer programs that foster immediate relief and long-term growth. Together, we can overcome the obstacles facing our community and create a future filled with hope and opportunity.

"Very disappointing, showed up for the 12:30-1pm lunch bags they say they give out on weekends as posted on the web page. That's false only Monday through friday. Kinda messed up to give someone hope, just to crush it. I left that compound hungry, angry and resentful."
