"I was here to try and resolve some kinda mystery legal letter I couldn't make sense of and went to wait in line to see the clerk. After what felt like an age in the queue (about as long as it took for the crustaceous era to transition into the Paleozoic)—time that could have been spent doing something more proactive like watching paint dry —I finally reached the promised land: the clerk's desk. Picture this: as I handed her the letter, expecting, you know, basic human assistance, she let out a sigh so loud it made the ghosts of grudges past look weak, and said, and I quote, "Oh great, I have to read now?" Sweet buttered biscuits! I didn't know that literacy was such a hurdle at a place designed to solve legal issues. Her enthusiasm was the emotional equivalent of a sedated sloth, only less charming. I half-expected her to ask me if I had any crayons to make it more interesting for her."

"I went to get a certificated copy of a document and the nasty clerks think they are judges they don’t let you speak they are rude and not helpful at all, why did they get a job where you are supposed to help? When they don’t want to and they treat people like they are beneath them, if you are a clerk at the Torrance courthouse, just remember you have a job and all those benefits you enjoy because of the people you treat so bad."

"The self help is basically useless. They just direct you the self help website. And when you do turn in the forms from the self help site. They get rejected BECAUSE self help won't help you fill them out. Been going back and forth for 5 years now. Yes five years. The family court liberal clerk with purple hair hate you the moment you walk in. The sheer incompetence of these people is unbelievable. And multiple times when calling and waiting over an hour it just hang up. This courthouse is pathetic. Zero or negative stars if possible. Tax payer money down the drain"

"This is a nice courthouse with (so far) nice employees. I just wanted to warn people that the drink vending machine will take your money and not give you anything. I tried to purchase a bottle of water from the machine thinking it would save me time, but ended up having to spend additional time and money to purchase water at the snack bar. The employee at the snack bar said I was the third one today that got ripped off from the vending machine, and that the court employees know about it. Even though it's just $1.50, it bothers me that so many people are getting ripped off and no one who works here bothers to put up a sign to warn us."
