Welcome to Sacred Heart Church, a cherished Roman Catholic parish nestled in the serene landscapes of Olema, California. Located at 10189 California 1, our church stands as a beacon of faith and community in rural West Marin. We invite you to join our vibrant congregation for Masses held in English, Spanish, and occasionally a blend of both languages. Our services include faith formation classes for children, a historical cemetery, and an open-air shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe. Additionally, we offer a rental center for special events, providing a sacred space for your gatherings.

As we navigate the challenges posed by the pandemic, Sacred Heart Church is experiencing a critical shortage of operating funds. Our community is deeply saddened by the passing of Father Bruno Gibson O.P. on March 11, 2024. Father Bruno dedicated part of his ministerial life to our parish and the Mission of Saint Mary Magdalene in Bolinas with unwavering love and devotion. We hold onto the hope that he will rise with Christ in His Heavenly Kingdom.

Confessions are available before the 7 p.m. Mass on Saturdays and the 9 a.m. Mass on Sundays, as well as by appointment. We encourage you to call (415) 663-1139 for the full Holy Days schedule or to arrange a confession.

As we emerge from the pandemic, we are guided by the Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco, which serves Marin, San Mateo, and San Francisco counties through 89 parishes. We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our parish community while resuming regular Mass attendance.
