"It is located in good part of Ventura, it's very quiet and people (neighbors) very nice."
"I am a guest there playing pool in the game room. Clean, lovely social area, common gardens are lovely and we'll kept . Pool looks inviting. To live there you have to buy s modular and rent space, I think."
"Lemon Wood is the premiere mobile home park in Ventura. (Second is the one at Ventura Harbor. Lemon Wood has more space between homes.) New ownership has significantly improved things, especially with a new manager who is customer service oriented and has communicated well with me every time. The community center grounds have been renovated for sustainability, initially somewhat sparse and now plants are growing and filling in the community of plants. The pool has been renovated, the interior blasted out and completely refinished; also new paving stones surrounding the pool. The community center has a renovated kitchen, new counters and appliances. There are four very natural ponds, with a stream connecting them. Ducks, turtles and a resident heron are seen most of the time, Canada geese in season, and various wild mammals are occasionally seen around dusk and dawn. My space rent is just over $700 and there are some misleading reports of space rents on the Internet. Those thinking of purchasing in Lemon Wood should go to the office with the number(s) of the home(s), ask about the space rent and request a copy of the rules. They do a credit and sheriff's check which is great for maintaining a quiet safe community. There is easy access to Ventura Harbor, Ventura Pier and main surfing beach along the beach promenade, Costco, Trader Joe's, Sprouts, Lowe's, Home Depot, and all kinds of shopping are convenient, including the new, The Collection, outdoor mall about eight minutes away. Parks and bike trails are easily accessed."
"The owners and the managers completely changed over the last six months, and while no community or HOA is 100% perfect I've found that Lemon Wood is now 99+% excellent! I find no need to add to the previous good reviews since I agree with them all."
"This place is pretty on the surface but evil under the surface. If you try to sell your place, you will get stonewalled by the incompetent, lazy management office. And you cannot close escrow there without them so you're trapped. It is a heartless, soulless place. Stay away. P.S. - I sold my place there but they are still charginging me rent instead of the new owner. Incredible."
