The surgery went well and less than a year later I was back to my normal self. No back pains or difficulty moving. He saved me from a life of chronic pain or being paralyzed. I will always be grateful to him."

"Rushes in and tries to rush back out in under 5 min. Must do only a cursory glance of file because he was ready to bolt and said "you have just a little tumor. That tumor usually has no symptoms. We'll check in 6 mos."...I had to point out that the MRI that led me to his office was done Specifically Because I Had Symptoms which were worsening! I actually had to follow him out of the office as I tried to ask a question and he was walking out of the door. I pity any patients who Assume he is actually Paying Attention. I suspect he may be one of the doctors who just wants to file patients in and out quickly for the insurance money. Follow-up: Tried to call, as instructed here. Clearly my feedback is not as helpful to their teams as their response here states. I Gave up after being bounced around while they tried to find out why I was told to call."

"Surgery went good I guess but he didn’t tell me I’d be in more pain without pain pills… he only gives me 5-10 at a time I called today in pain and they didn’t let me know they wasn’t calling any in I had to find out when I called and got the voicemail to call back during business hours….. I would’ve went a different route if I would’ve known… If you can find someone else to take care of you I would.. I’m in pain and they don’t care at all!!! After waiting all weekend in pain I had to call them to be informed he’s sending me to pain management later this week so gotta go even longer in pain until he’s ready to do so!! If I could leave a zero star review I would! I strongly advise you to find another doctor to take care of you this one does not care at all!!"

"For those readers sorting by newest reviews, please keep in mind that this DOCTOR has a 3.6 rating mostly because of people that had problems with the OFFICE he works at. imo if you have a problem with the staff, then b*tch about the office on their google review page and NOT the doctor themself. Especially dr's such as Dr Doan that do NOT have a private practice and are at the mercy of the HOSPITAL when it comes to staffing issues. Do you really think a surgeon hires/fires the staff directly....even if he had his own practice? Having said that, Dr Doan is awesome. I am now 7 days post-op from having a posterior decompression and fusion of c2-c4. My incision is straight, healing swimmingly well, and I have very minimal pain. This is saying a LOT because I had chronic, daily pain for the past 2+ years. I'm was discharged the day after the surgery and am very mobile. Needless to say, my recovery is going excellent so far. Having said all of that, Dr Doan also has time, unlike most dr's nowadays, to listen to your concerns, explain everything in detail, and has a great bedside manner! How many doctors can you say that about?? HIGHLY recommended. ps: For those of you saying he only wants your money....well, from my experience, no, he's not. If he is, he hides it well! lol"
