Aripeka Cemetery has been a cornerstone of the community since its first burial in 1906. With a history rooted deeply in the traditions of local pioneer families such as the Bondurants, Kolbs, Newtons, Norfleets, Whites, and Woods, our cemetery stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Aripeka. Established on a generous donation of land by Richart A. Ellis and Leonore B. Ellis, the cemetery was initially conveyed to the Trustees of the Aripeka Baptist Church in 1912, ensuring that residents of Aripeka would always have a dignified place for their loved ones, open to all regardless of religious beliefs.
Our mission is to maintain a modern and well-cared-for cemetery that honors every individual laid to rest here. The Board of Control, comprising dedicated volunteers from the church and the Aripeka community, works tirelessly to ensure that no grave goes unmarked or unattended. We invite community members to contribute to the upkeep and future care of the cemetery through donations and bequests, upholding a legacy of respect and remembrance.
