About the Trail:

The Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail is a 47-mile linear, multi-use trail that extends from St. Petersburg to Tarpon Springs. Created along a former railroad corridor, this trail provides a safe and scenic route for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. Managed by Pinellas County Parks & Conservation Resources, the trail is meticulously maintained to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors.

Trail Updates:

Please note that between January and June 2024, Duke Energy will be trimming trees and installing poles along certain sections of the trail, leading to intermittent closures from south of Keystone Road to south of Ridgeline Blvd. For your safety, please use the sidewalk on the east side of East Lake Road and cross only at intersections with designated signals.

Electric Bicycle Regulations:

Under Florida law, electric bicycles are classified as bicycles. Riders enjoy the same rights and privileges as traditional cyclists and must adhere to the same rules. Please familiarize yourself with Florida Statute 316.2065 for more details.

Safety First:

Nearly 700 markers are placed at 200- to 300-foot intervals along the trail, each with a unique number. In case of an emergency, trail users can provide this number to a 9-1-1 operator to quickly identify their location and ensure a prompt response.
