Chef Michael Glatz, the heart and soul behind Coffee House 1420, brings a wealth of experience from his culinary adventures across Connecticut, Vermont, Pennsylvania, California, Puerto Rico, and Florida. His dream of creating a community coffee house where staff and customers unite as family has come true in Vero Beach. Here, you can enjoy a diverse menu featuring exquisite teas like Monsoon Darjeeling and Snow in the Tropics, and savor delicious offerings such as our Cucumber, Tomato, and Greek Feta salad or our Coffee-roasted Pork and Spicy Mayo sandwich.

"I love this coffee-house! The food and drinks are delicious, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The last time I was there, I ordered a hot chocolate for here as I enjoy the large cozy mugs and foamy designs. However, I was to my disappointment given it in a to-go cup. I expressed my slight disappointment to my friends not thinking much of it. Shortly after, I received a pleasant surprise when chef Will brought me out a delicious mocha for free, saying he had overheard me and wanted to compensate for the slight mistake. He was very kind and my drink was delicious! Thank you!"
"This place is a beautiful and quiet place, ideal for having breakfast as a family, as a couple and also alone, it is clean and excellent service, the staff is friendly and talented, but the taste of the commoda is very original and delicious, we had breakfast and had a Coffee that tastes very rich, excellent place to surprise someone, I would definitely return!! You also have parking right in front of the store!"
"If you are in the Vero area and are looking for a good cup of coffee, drop by 1420 and get a pour over. The daily roast or house brew is okay but the pour over, nearly any roast, is excellent worth the price!! I love their monkey bread, but ask for it warm - and the almond croissant is terrific! I have a things about baked goods being served at room temperature. The Almond Croissant is fantastic and worth the visit alone! I recently tried the muffin, blueberry. The taste is so distinct. I was surprised at how unique the flavor. Light and tasty. Not too sweet but so very good. I am including a picture of the muffin after it’s been eaten because it only lasted about two minutes! So very good!! Staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly!"
"Had a wonderful breakfast here this morning. Great food, people and ambiance! Chef Michael prepared a wonderful quiche and breakfast sandwich to compliment their delicious rich tasting coffee. First time here for me but not my last. If you are looking for a wonderful gem of a restaurant to visit, queue this place up! Enjoy!!"
