Welcome to the MRI Center at Navicent Health, your trusted destination for state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging services in Central Georgia. Conveniently located at 770 Pine St Suite L-15, Macon, GA 31201, we have been proudly serving the community for over 25 years with a dedication to precision and patient care.
Our center is staffed by a team of more than 30 specialty-trained, board-certified radiologists who utilize the latest MRI technology to deliver highly detailed 3-D images of internal body structures. Unlike traditional X-ray methods, our MRI services offer a non-invasive approach to examining soft tissues and internal organs, including the heart, brain, spine, liver, and eyes, without the use of radiation.
We are equipped with two high-field strength MRI scanners, including the advanced 3.0 Tesla, one of only four in Georgia, to ensure the highest quality imaging. Our specialized breast MRI service provides comprehensive 3-D images, aiding in the detection and assessment of tumors with remarkable contrast, although it is not a replacement for standard screening procedures like mammograms.
Patient safety and comfort are our top priorities. Our procedures pose minimal risk, as they do not involve radiation, though some tests may require intravenous contrast material. For those with pacemakers or metal implants, our team will evaluate the suitability of an MRI scan.
We understand that undergoing an MRI can be daunting, especially for those with claustrophobia. Our caring technologists maintain constant communication and provide earplugs to reduce discomfort from the machine's noises. For pediatric patients, we are the only center in the region offering board-certified pediatric specialists to supervise sedation during MRI scans.
To ensure a smooth experience, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment for registration, or an hour in advance if sedation is required. Patients receiving sedation must arrange for transportation post-procedure.
