"I stayed at this so called rehab for 3-4 months supposedly in the rehab area. I got absolute worse care from rehab!! Not by the staff’s fault. They were constantly having turnover, short staff or a Covid breakout which limited your rehab. CNA’s are probably some of the best but work them to death. They have way too many patients!! The 3/4 months I was there I never got a bath until I complained so much I was a nuisance!! The food the is absolutely the worst! The time I was there you got the same every day! (Eggs, toast and oatmeal. I finally talked to the Administrator about getting meat for the patients and thankfully it finally happened. You have a piece of a banquet type of meat almost daily with different gravy making it a chicken meat with chicken gravy or a beef meat with beef gravy or ketchup on it for a meatloaf. To this day I can’t even look at a tv dinner!! Where my room was my food was delivered last so my food was COLD and at times didn’t even get my food. In that case not getting your food or not liking it you’d get an old PBJ. It is truly sad and NASTY FOOD!! The rooms all need detailed cleaning and to clean light lens of cockroaches. CNA’s asked maintenance for days to clean the cockroaches out of light lenses above my bed. My husband cleaned my window so I could look out of it. It was YEARS AND YEARS OF DIRT build up. After a whole roll of paper towels and a half bottle of window cleaner he final got my window to the point of seeing out. The rooms all need painting and bathrooms all smell like pee. The cleaning personal are also short and end up picking up rooms and upset. The outer part of the building is as bad as the inside. NO CURB APPEAL AT ALL. Scrubs are all grown out, windows not cleaned, and weeds everywhere. I was always taught if the outside looks bad so is the inside. It’s a Payton place, the CNA’s talk about the RN’s not helping (true) and RN’s talk about how lazy the CNA’s are. There are some good RN’s and some good CNA’s but they are all over worked!! Weekends there are a nightmare!! EVERYBODY CALLS OFF WORK! They all know that they are already short staffed so they call off making the whole facility SHORT!! The admit office is a whole different ball of wax. They do everything to get you on MEDICAID.. everything! I almost lost EVERYTHING I OWNED with some shady work putting me on MEDICAID. My SS. checks were GOING TO GO TO THEM. I pay my bills with that check!! When I asked Ms. …….. about it she assured me nothing would happen to my home. Well after approved she came to my room demanded payment, I was totally lost. I went thru and read some of my mail and read my checks would go to them. When I expressed to Ms….. she came back to say: “ YOU MEAN YOU PAY YOUR HOUSE AND CAR PAYMENT WITH YOUR SS CHECK?” Well yes!!! Come on now, she didn’t care she just wanted me admitted to take my money and all my belongings. When I was approved for Medicaid I know right away. They moved me into a much nastier room and things just honestly changed. Even my rehab people were put with other people with no explanation. I was put in a room with someone who was in a room with a patient that had some kind of disease and had to be isolated. With that it meant the lady in my room had a chance of getting the same disease. No one would tell you about it so you had no idea what to except. The lady in my room had such bed sores she screamed if she got changed or a bath. After 5 days I demanded she get a bath. With her not having family she was basically put to the side. I talked and talked to anyone who would listen. Upper management pointed the finger or had an excuse for everything. So my story is it was a NIGHTMARE!! If you truly love someone you’ll NEVER PUT THEM IN DIVERSICARE !!! EVER!! I’m not trying to bash them I’m just telling the truth. It’s been 2 years since I was in there so I had plenty of time to think about my care. There is so much more but I’ll leave it here. I wish you the BEST and hope you read this before leaving your loved one in that place!"

"I actually worked there as a CNA. The staff is overrun by shotty equipment, terrible nurses, and worse doctors. They give CNA over 15 or more "residents" a shift that have to be showered, fed, turned, shaved, clip toe or fingernails taken to facility to is all while those who are sick or in pain begging for help but good luck because those in charge are only worried about nothing. The level on insensitivity is non existent."

"After my wife has been at Diversicare for 2 months of rehabilitation, I must add on to my first review. I have averaged spending 5 hours a everyday as a visitor. First I would like to thank Jeanne Smith for all she and her team have done working to keep my wife in the rehabilitation program inspite of my wife's setbacks at times. She was so very helpful in keeping my wife in the program and providing me with the support I needed. The Physical Therapy team is fantastic. They work really hard to see that the patient succeeds in their rehabilitation. Their enthusiasm working with each patient is topnotch. The nursing team works very hard taking care of "ALL" of the patient's needs. Always with a positive attitude, regardless of the many challenges they face daily with the various moods of their patients. One of the best things about Diversicare is CNA Deborah. She goes 100%+++,taking care of the needs of the patients she attends to!! My wife Barbara has only been at Diversicare for treatment for 10 days, and we are both happy when we see Deborah walk through the door of her room. Deborah always greets us with a smile, which is so important for patients to know that someone cares about taking care of them. After reading several reviews about other patients praising Deborah, We are truly thankful that those reviews were spot on! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK BY ALL AND THANKYOU FOR ALL YOU DO!"

"I highly recommend their services. They were well staffed and very kind at all times. My husband’s doctor came to see him. The Doctor that was in charge of the entire facility came to see him. The three meals were served on time and always something different. The room and bed were kept clean. The rehabilitation staff was very good and informative. The nurses from the various departments were kind and extremely helpful."

"This facility has been amazing with my loved one and my family. The one aide I know by name, Deborah is amazing and went above her duties. I’m not sure of some of the other names but I know their faces. My loved one hasn’t had to stay long term. Amanda, the social worker has been amazing. Ashley with admissions is amazing as well. Ms. Cora has been great. I want the entire staff to know how thankful I am for them! Truly doing Gods work. They’ve been so nice and helpful and patient. Everyone I’ve passed in the halls are very friendly and helpful. It’s a great place when you absolutely need it! I just can’t say enough good things about this facility and staff!❤️ Thank you all so very much!"
