"Amazing! Somehow the crowd passed the end of the pier up. There were swings, shade, and a steady breeze, with a bunch of picnic tables! The pelicans are a trip! Could have killed an entire afternoon sitting there doing nothing!"

"Always a fun stop. The location is historic even if the pier itself--rebuilt after the latest batch of hurricanes blew through--is not. The snack bar with happy hour drink specials makes the sunset hour quite magical. The sounds of the waves washing around the pilings and making their way ashore lends to the vacation vibe we love to share with each other AND with our visitors from up north. Oh, and the herons seem to enjoy posing for close-ups! An AMI treasure."

"Nice pier. Water around it was really nice. Pelicans all over and they would dive in. People fishing on the back of the dock. Small Aquarium and restaurant at the end of the pier. Can touch horseshoe crabs in there."

"Beautiful place. Peace, beauty and peace. In my opinion, the best time here is before and during sunset. Dolphins often swim here. We have never seen sharks there, but there are a lot of cute stingrays almost every time when the water is calm. Love this place."
