"3rd year going to AMI. This is the most disappointing place we have stayed. It is not set up for 4 people. It is right beside a construction site and not disclosed. The pool is not heated. It is not cute or quaint it is small and uncomfortable. If you have 4 people and the couch is pulled out there is nowhere to sit and relax. The beds are terribly uncomfortable. The thermostat is set to 70 - muggy and the fans are noisy. I had to do laundry numerous times on vacation since only 4towels were provided for 4 people staying 6 nights. The floors get sandy which is expected at the beach - so I would expect to have a broom. Nope. The parking is too tight."
"Extremely disappointing! The website claims the apartment sleeps 4 people, but the sofa "bed" is a disgusting mess. The springs poke through, it's sagging and it had brown spots. There is no way anyone could possibly sleep on this thing. We all had to squeeze into a queen size mattress for several nights. On top of that the AC filter looks like it hasn't been changed in over 5 years. Very gross! Customer Service is extremely friendly and they promise you the world and end up ignoring every single request. They couldn't even manage to send in extra blankets that we've requested several times. I'm usually not a person to complain, but I feel they shouldn't mislead people like this and list it as a 4 people apartment if they can't live up to their promise."
"We stayed in unit 16. It’s was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. I appreciated the beach towels! We loved the pool area and that the resort is pet friendly. Our neighbors were wonderful. I highly recommend."
"Good stuff out of the way. The resort is in a great location and my wife and I were able to bike or hop on the two close by trolleys to get around the island perfectly. The check in and out procedure was flawless and working with Vacasa was very easy. My family has been visiting the island for years and we don't normally say that. The negative. My wife and I rented this place for the cost and location. We knew this unit was small and that was okay. We just needed a place to escape the heat and sleep. However the AC in the unit struggles to keep the room below 80. The only way to keep it around 76 is to close all the blinds run the included box fans and keep the bathroom door shut at all times. Even then some nights were very hot. The bathroom has no air circulation and is over 90 in the middle of the day. Shower also had no pressure which meant trying to get in and out before you got to hot was next to impossible. The floor in front of the bathroom also seems to be giving away so that probably needs to be looked into. Parking was a mess in the beginning of our stay. Space 3 has a choke point in and out and we had the tenant under us parking wrong and blocking us and three other units on multiple occasions. One of them was during when I was trying to get my wife and I to our wedding pictures. Which was a huge issue finding the owner to move their vehicle. The shared pool looked very nice but was over crowded most of the stay and even had people outside the resort using it at night. Needs a key code or something to keep non guests out. We did not contact Vacasa with our issues because honestly the unit just needs to be updated and us spending time on the phone would take away our time on the island. We are avid campers and just rolled with it but we would not stay at this resort again."
"Let's start with the positive. The "resort" is in an excellent location within walking distance to plenty of restaurants, city pier, and a general store. Within walking distance of the beach as well but we preferred our bikes. The unit was clean upon arrival as well and stocked with the basics. Unfortunately, the unit (#3) got very hot during the day even with the doors and windows shut as instructed the little unit couldn't keep up and the room often was upwards of 86 degrees inside. Parking was a major issue! We parked in our space but others don't care and parked in no parking areas which made us leaving difficult. We even had someone completely block us in at one point and we had to knock on doors to find the owner of said car. We had a sugar ant issue in the bathroom as well. There is no vent in the restroom and it's the hottest area of the unit making it very uncomfortable. The water pressure in the shower is non existent and the floor is giving away just outside the bathroom. The pool was over crowded much of our stay and we even saw people come from the street to use what appeared to be a public pool. Rules stated no night swimming but we saw many people do that too. It's pretty clear the rules aren't enforced here which can cause issues. Lighting of the stairs sucked too. Motion sensor if you're going up into the unit but not when you're leaving so you're often left walking down the stairs in complete darkness. We didn't call about issues because we didn't want to spend our vacation on the phone or waiting for maintenance. It worked for the week but we would not book again."
