Budget Car Rental

"DO NOT RENT FROM THESE THIEVES. I rented a car and prepaid for it. However, when I arrived they could not rent me the car because I had a debit card. They would not refund me. I have been going back and forth with customer service for over 2 months now. First, I sent a screenshot showing the money was taken from my account. They came back and said they don't accept screenshots. So, I had to wait for my bank statement to come out and I sent that to them. Now they're saying it has the be a credit card statement. (But I only used a debit card). At this point, I have no choice but to dispute the charge with my bank. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never rent from them. I usually use Hertz and that's who I recommend!"

"I've had pretty good luck with Budget so far. Got a nice upgrade for same price on our last vac. Had flight time change and had to move up car pickup time this vacation and was accommodated. Price always seems to be the best. Only cons are that I don't think they check the cars frequently enough. Had very low wiper fluid in the car this time and the light kept coming on. Trip before had a bunch of lights coming on in car saying safety systems not on. Trip before that had low tire pressure light come on and had to deal with that. These were in 3 different cities I think they need to do a quick safety check in between customers to minimally make sure tires aren't low and fluids up to par. The attendant did pay attention when I told him very low wiper fluid and wrote it in big writing on the side window when we returned the car."

"I had a great experience with Budget rental car. The line was short at pick-up, and the rental service at the counter was fast and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised to be provided with a brand new Nissan Rogue, which offered excellent mileage throughout my trip. The location for pick-up and return was conveniently easy to navigate. The price for the car was fair and reflected good value for the quality received. Additionally, the turn-in service was quick and hassle-free. Highly recommend!"

"The employees were not willing to help with a car rental that was in very poor condition. I was given a choice to upgrade to a luxury model for $35 additional per day. The staff was not willing to document the condition of the car. I was told to do it on my own and save the pictures. The service light by dealer came on durning my rental. On the car return, we had to wait about 10 minutes for the employees to get out of the chairs to receive the car. They were not assisting any other customers."

"The front two tires on the vehicle were bald. There were wear holes on both where I could see the threads of the tires. Wear like that doesn't result from 1 or 2 missed inspections. I didn't discover this until in was 180 miles from home. I had to drive back on these tires on the Interstate for 3 hours. That put me at a huge risk. The check engine oil light was on as well."
