Budget Truck Rental

"I was told I would only be charged 90 per extra day Soneone the actually charged me $150 per day. I called and explained that the reason for the delayed return was medical ( my husband's death) and the company does not care. I'm grieving right now and this stress from budget and their company is making me wish I was dead too"

"After budget not answering the phones several times, i decided to look at their reviews. I'm so glad I dodged a bullet on this one. They have terrible customer service and I didn't even have to have the experience to figure out just how bad it could get. It seemed like it would be a great price, but from what I've read, it's worth paying the extra $ to go elsewhere. Thanks google, for the dodged bullet."

"I called on the phone prior to coming in , I was told I could pay online so I went into the store after driving an hour to discuss this and the person that was in there he was tan with glasses facial hair wannabe beard with a very disrespectful attitude told me that the person gave me false information, I asked him okay well I just drove a long time so what can you do ? He said nothing I told him you need to talk to your team he said “I do not” that’s poor customer service and he offered no solution so whoever hired him I’d rethink your decision that’s very disrespectful and way to go budget on losing out on money , I would not go here they will waste your time , disrespect you and leave with you with no option but to go to UHUAL"

"I had reserved a moving truck for my move from my home, upon going into the office I was advised by the clerk that they didn’t have a truck for me and that “ she usually doesn’t check reservations”, that due to recent mechanical issues they were low on trucks and that i shouldn’t have been able to book it, well I booked it; had a confirmation; I even called that morning to confirm! They didn’t call me or bother to fix this issue, thank you for ruining ny move, I am taking my business to Penske and you will be reimbursing me for this. I will make sure no one uses this horrible company again."

"We moved from Pensacola Fl back to Rochester, NY, that's an 1800 mile trip. We have 3 kids, 2 dogs and 3 cats that were with us, all in a minivan. So as you can imagine, an already stressful move...and budget made it 10 times worse. Upon pick up we showed our payments we were using 2 different cards and cash. Cash isn't accepted, no problem..my husband went to the bank and put in account so it's on our card. Came back to pay and one card wasn't accepted and due to time, they couldn't help us that day. So already set us back on time. Came first thing next morning, paid, got truck and car dolly for our kia(which they don't help you get on or inspect to make sure it's correct/safe). Behind schedule but finally on road...realized front passenger headlight isn't working (it was near impossible to drive at night -which set us back more). Truck shook like a washer. We called they told us would be a few hours for someone to come look at it. We declined as we were already so far behind schedule. Drove about 10 hours and right passenger tire had blowout. This was in Kentucky during the heat warning of 108 degree index , which we were stuck in car for 3 hours waiting for help. (It was so hot that ac barely felt like it was working). Gentlemen was very nice, showed us that there were...not 1..not 2..not 3...not 4...BUT 5 NAILS in the tire. Once it was fixed...guess what?? NO MORE SHAKING. So clearly there is little to no inspection before they send out their trucks. Now to the car dolly..oh lord! We had people stopping us that the straps were off more then a few times. I'd say we stopped well over a dozen times to put back on straps and chains so that we didn't lose our car on the expressway. When we finally made it to drop off, the car straps were off, one of chains popped and car was partially off dolly. Literally the WORST experience ever. I do NOT recommend this company. The extra $400 for uhaul with peace of mind would have been worth it and I would have gratefully paid it. Lesson learned. -Angel Acevedo-"
