Budget Car Rental

"This was my 1st and last time renting with this company. I reserved and paid in advance online. Upon arrival, at check in I gave the guy my ID. He told me they were getting a red flag, but there is nothing wrong with my ID. I needed the vehicle to take my family to Disney where we had reserved tickets for the weekend. I walked out to tell my partner who also felt this is wrong we had already paid. After they knew we were going to Disney they decided to give me a vehicle , so basically after paying for the car I had to beg for them to let me use it. The car was perfect for the trip it got us there and back. The day of return we left Orlando kinda late Budget made me pay for that day and turn it in the SAME day. I paid 170 for the additional day and still had to turn it in on that day. I'm highly unsatisfied with this company if Enterprise had have the type of car I needed for this trip that's where I would've went. When I got back from my trip I made sure to visit the local DMV to check my DL and they gave me a written statement saying that I have nothing pending on my driving record another inconvenience. When I arrived in Orlando I checked into my home 3 hrs later due to leaving out late because of Budget. I've never rented a vehicle that was such a hassle and extremely expensive. I won't be back and my I'm sure my family and friends won't either."

"I would give this review a one star, but the young lady helping me when I picked up the car, was extremely pleasant and helpful. However, when returning the car, the man was not. The car itself only had approximately 1600 miles on it, but pulled to the left Hadlow washer fluid, and the cruise control never engaged. I am extremely disappointed. This was my first time renting a car for personal use."

"The service was nice. It wasn’t a bad experience. So, I will still give them 5 stars. This was our first time using them and we picked up in Pensacola and dropped off in Jacksonville. When picking up in Pensacola. We noticed someone had been smoking in the truck. When we informed them after inspecting the truck ourselves in Pensacola. They said they allow smoking in their trucks. Which seemed odd but whatever. When dropping it off we found out that it actually is not allowed but they did not charge us. The smoke was very LOUD if you know what I mean. So, we definitely appreciate Budget in Jacksonville but if anyone says you can smoke in their trucks. Don’t, and I would request another truck if you smell smoke. Just to be on the safe side because Unfortunately, everyone may not just take your word and believe you as the employer we got in Jacksonville did."

"The gentleman at the front desk was the saving grace of this place. He was kind and helpful, so it suprised me when I went to get the truck outside. The man outside was either going through something or was just born rude, ornery, and cantankerous. I'm paying an arm and a leg for a service, but I also get to pay to have someone be rude to me. He also didn't mark the paperwork correctly for the damage already done to the truck, and the place of return tried to charge me for a new windshield. There was no A/C in the truck, in the summer, and the engine light came on almost as soon as I picked it up.. also, make sure you fill the truck up PAST FULL. The expectations here seem to be entirely on the paying customer. So next time I'll be paying an extra $100 for customer service and a fully functioning vehicle from UHaul."

"very disappointed with this budget location. we reserved a truck so they "upgraded" us to a Chevy Tahoe. it was extremely dirty and definitely wasn't washed before pickup. during pick up the staff was ok, but during drop off they weren't very friendly or helpful. I opted to wait for a receipt because I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be charged extra for any made up damage. I had to wait a long time for someone to go over the vehicle and couldn't get an answer from the guy at the desk for how long, as I had an Uber on the way. the gentleman that went over the vehicle literally just started it up to check the gas and called it a day. definitely not a great car rental experience."
