"Home Depot: 1. WORST WEBSITE EVER if you try to set up an account 2. WORST TECH SUPPORT EVER for the same reason. Spent over 1.5 hours every time I tried to do anything, talked to more than half a dozen people, who also hung up on me (not accidentally cut off, not seven times in a roll/. Don't create an account, unless you are planning on spending lots and lots of money, or have nothing in your life other than DIY. Same for store credit card. They send you emails every day, sometimes more than one per day. The only redeeming part of the card is that it greatly extends the window for your tool returns, which you will need when the clamp you bought fails after two uses (not kidding, a clamp, one of the simplest, most basic of inventions, just stopped holding anything--would be great for a horror movie, since there is absolutely no chance of an actor getting hurt). Also, they only have limited inventory on any particular item, even though the store is extremely large, especially for Manhattan. In addition to that, if you are at the store when you buy something, you are subject to a delivery fee, despite meeting minimum purchase requirements (to be fair, the Lowes in Brooklyn does the same thing, and delivery charges for wood there are even more out of line with product cost), so it's hardly worth visiting the brick and mortar location."
