About the Business

TEMPLE BETH DAVID

Welcome to Temple Beth David, a vibrant Reform synagogue located at 100 Hauppauge Road, Commack, New York. For over 50 years, we have been a welcoming Jewish home for families, growing from a small group to a thriving congregation of 400 families. As a member of the Union for Reform Judaism, we are committed to fostering a sacred community where everyone can grow, learn, and share in our rich traditions.

At Temple Beth David, we cherish the spirit of closeness and community that has been our foundation since 1961. Our congregation is built upon the cornerstones of sacred community, inclusivity, and lifelong learning. We offer a variety of programs and opportunities to engage with Jewish culture and spirituality, ensuring that the needs of all families are met.

Please note that our TBD Zoom sessions are available exclusively to temple members and require a passcode for access. Members can find the passcode in the Weekly Megillah. We invite you to join us in our warm and welcoming community, where tradition and modernity meet to create a meaningful Jewish experience.

"Beyond grateful to have found Temple Beth David! By far, the most friendly, inclusive, warm, accepting temple I have found. Feels like being accepted into a family/tight community. OUTSTANDING religious school which is educational and enriching with very reasonable time commitment. So glad I found it before my kids started religious school but I've seen them work with kids joining late or transferring and they seem very accommodating. EXCEPTIONAL Rabbi and Cantor, who make the services both modern and engaging but still retain all of the traditions. The Rabbi is so down-to-earth, eloquent, and caring. The Cantor is so sweet and friendly with the most beautiful voice and style. I can't imagine what my kids would have missed if we hadn't joined Temple Beth David."

"Temple Bethdavid is the least friendly Temple, the only thing that they have going for them is an excellent rabbi and Cantor. They are obsessed with money and getting involved in peoples lives. Would you believe the temple actually used a relationship break up of a family to let me know that now since my family has been broken that I also have to pay the membership dues after three years of paying it as a family . What a disgrace. Taking advantage of families for more profit is not what I believe God would expect of a temple shameful"
