Joann Ariola, a lifelong resident and devoted leader of the 32nd Council District, has a rich history rooted in the neighborhoods she serves. Born in Ozone Park and raised in Howard Beach, she is a proud product of the local education system, having attended P.S. 63, P.S. 207, Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, Stella Maris High School, and Adelphi Business School.

A respected civic leader and common-sense moderate, Councilwoman Ariola was elected to the NYC City Council in 2021 with a decisive majority and continues to serve with dedication in her second term. As a member of the Republican Minority Caucus and the Common-Sense Caucus, she is committed to fostering community well-being by collaborating with city agencies and nonprofits to maintain clean streets and advocate for increased NYPD presence.

"Contacted representatives some time back on Howard Beach appalling conditions in Charles Park. The tennis courts are a shame in our community. Tried to establish PickleBall courts there as well. Her office should know well these issues but nothing ever get changed ONLY in Howard Beach!!"

From attacks on the law abiding public, attacks on the great members of the NYPD, attacks on the Mayor in his quest to correct the wrongs from the passage of the no bail law and closure of Rikers Island. From our quality of life being destroyed by an array of individuals who want to take control of your children away from you, rising taxes, rising gasoline and food costs, attacks on our seniors, councilwoman Ariola is fighting for your beliefs. Those who do not teach your children to succeed in business but teach to divide and hate, get involved and become aware who truly supports you, your family and your quest to succeed and enjoy the American dream.
