Welcome to the official website of Council Member Linda Lee, proudly serving the 23rd Council District in Eastern Queens. Our district encompasses vibrant neighborhoods such as Fresh Meadows-Utopia, Jamaica Estates-Holliswood, Cunningham Park, Auburndale, Bayside, Douglaston-Little Neck, Oakland Gardens-Hollis Hills, Alley Pond Park, Jamaica, Hollis, Glen Oaks-Floral Park-New Hyde Park, Bellerose, and Queens Village.
Council Member Linda Lee made history in November 2021 by becoming the first Korean-American and the first woman to be elected to the City Council from this district. Her deep commitment to public service is rooted in her previous role as President/CEO of Korean Community Services (KCS) of Metropolitan New York, Inc. Under her leadership, KCS became a pivotal organization for the Korean and broader Asian communities, offering vital services in aging, education, immigration, workforce development, public health, and mental health.
Linda Lee has been instrumental in breaking down barriers for immigrants, ensuring they have the support needed to thrive economically and socially. Her efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic were particularly impactful, as KCS assisted community members with accessing unemployment benefits, PPP loans, COVID tests, and vaccinations. Her outstanding work was recognized nationally when the Obama White House named KCS a Champion of Change in 2014.
Our offices are located at New York City Hall and 250 Broadway, with additional district offices available to serve the community. We are dedicated to representing the interests of our constituents and fostering a community where everyone can succeed.
