About the Business
Welcome to the Astoria Center of Israel, a vibrant and inclusive synagogue located at 2735 Crescent Street, Queens, New York. As a cornerstone of Jewish life in the community, ACI is dedicated to fostering a warm, supportive, and lively atmosphere where individuals of all ages can deepen their understanding and appreciation of Jewish heritage and identity.
Our synagogue embraces an egalitarian and musical approach to worship, rooted in Conservative Jewish tradition, and is built around a warm and welcoming congregational community. ACI is not just a place of worship; it is a hub of Jewish religious, cultural, and educational activities, providing a diverse range of services and programs that cater to the needs of our members.
With a rich history spanning 98 years, ACI has been a beacon of civic leadership and community involvement. We are proud to offer a welcoming environment where your talents and energy are not only needed but celebrated. Whether you're looking to participate in our meaningful Shabbat services, engage in our educational programs, or join in our community events, there's a place for you at ACI.
This summer, while our regular Shabbat morning services and Tot Shabbat are on pause, we invite you to join us for a full calendar of special Shabbat events, including our Open Door Shabbat in honor of Pride Month featuring guest speakers from the Latino Commission on AIDS. Additionally, we are thrilled to collaborate with Malkhut for a unique Shavuot storytelling program celebrating Pride Month.
At ACI, we believe in creating an engaging and supportive environment for children to explore and embrace their Jewish identity. Our growing school reflects our commitment to nurturing the next generation with a strong sense of Jewish pride.
As a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, we invite you to be part of our community. Visit us during our office hours from Monday to Thursday, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, or call to schedule an appointment. We look forward to welcoming you to the Astoria Center of Israel, where tradition meets community in a meaningful and inspiring way.

"Beautiful Art Noveau murals cover the walls, and stained glass commemorating local families form the windows. A calming, peaceful place. (My church meets there, and we have a good relationship of many years with the synagogue.)"
"A warm, hands-on, uplifting & growing synagogue with an engaging Rabbi and devoted Cantor. Shabbat services & holidays are filled with prayers, songs, music and wonderful families!"
"We just joined ACI this year and are looking forward to the growing Jewish Community in Astoria. Rabbi Pearl is extremely interested in new ideas on how to make the Children's programming bigger and better!"
