Welcome to KIPP AMP Middle School, located at 1224 Park Place, Brooklyn, New York. We are a dedicated educational institution committed to providing a comprehensive and enriching experience for our students. Our rigorous academic program is complemented by a wide array of co-curricular and after-school activities designed to support the individual goals and interests of each student.

At KIPP AMP, we pride ourselves on our world-class music program, particularly our focus on jazz, which allows students to explore and appreciate the rich history of this genre. Our Legacy Jazz Ensemble showcases student talent and regularly performs with professional musicians throughout the city. In addition to music, we offer a diverse range of athletic teams, including football, basketball, volleyball, track and field, and soccer, providing students with opportunities to excel in sports.

Our commitment extends beyond academics, as we strive to nurture the whole child. Through initiatives like Pride Circles and Advisory sessions, we create a supportive environment where students can thrive socially and emotionally. We address modern challenges such as cyberbullying and social media navigation, equipping students with the tools they need for well-being and success.

Our core academic content areas include English, History, Math, and Science, forming a solid foundation for student learning. Enrichment opportunities in Art, Band, Dance, and Gym further enhance the student experience. We offer personalized interventions to meet individual student needs and provide unique opportunities for 7th and 8th graders to earn Algebra credits, preparing them for advanced academic challenges.

The arts are integral to our student experience, with achievements in Dance, Art, and Music leading to scholarships and recognition from prestigious institutions like Lincoln Center and the MET. Our emphasis on STEAM education is evident in our students' participation in science fairs and robotics competitions, with all students taking 9th-grade level Algebra Regents.

Our after-school programs are extensive, offering a range of sports, clubs, and enrichment activities. Our sports teams have achieved remarkable success, with multiple championships in basketball, flag football, and volleyball. The Cheerleading team reached Nationals in 2023, securing 3rd place in the UCA Regional Competition.

Beyond sports, our Theater Club offers full scholarships to the Brooklyn Brownstone Black Box Theatre, where students produce three productions annually. The Wrestling Club and Animation Club provide unique opportunities for students to explore pro-wrestling and animation, respectively, enriching their creative and critical thinking skills.
