"To the MTA/JFK… Whoever restructured the turnstiles and Metrocard fare here is an absolute idiot. You didn’t help anyone and you’re an embarrassment to New York… To the travelers… if you’re traveling through and somehow find these reviews, proceed with caution at the ticket machines. There is a new system. I’ve worked in New York for 12 years and would frequently fly through JFK for work. The system made sense. The subway has its own price and the Airtrain is a little more expensive, but it was all money on a card… now there are separate machines for the Airtrain and subway and they issue the same card with different “rides”? What is that?! Long story short, I bought rides that I will not be able to use… If not a money grab its just gross incompetence… This is the largest international airport for most of the NorthEast and it’s our representation to the world.. If I lived here most my life and I have trouble how do you think the majority of other riders will do? Be better."
"I would like to mention an incident that happened to me at the station ticket offices. We are a family of 4 and when we arrived at the station there was a gentleman who told us that he was a train employee (he had a supposed card on his chest) and that he helps people so that there is no overcrowding in the machines. He told us that we could give him 8 USD each and that we would save 50 cents (instead of 1.5 USD which was actually.the ticket cost 9.5 USD). When he did the calculationss he finally asked me for 30 USD (4X8=32!!!). He would pass us through the ticket control and we could board the Airtrain. When I asked him if he would give me receipt so that I could prove to a supposed control that I had paid, he replied that he didn't need to because since I went through the control of the station from then on nobody would check me. When I explained to him that I didn't know what is the arrival station at the airport like and if I need a card to get out of it he started getting annoyed (with my questions) and raising the tone of his voice because I wasn't accepting his help. I finally got an Uber and saved 10 USD. Maybe I'm wrong and unfairly suspicious, but this whole situation seemed pretty suspicious to me. Why do the trains pay 3-4 employees (there were others there) so that people pay less money and thus lose money? And why do the employees lose their temper when the customer finally decides to pay normally? Since the company will earn more money. Let's take this into account and be careful"
"Really when your boarding off the train there's still a long way to travel getting to the airports booking areas or seats."
"Beautiful Station. ADA Accessible & connects with the JFK Airtrain to JFK Airport."
