"I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with a company claiming to be Uplift Movers in the Midwest. This company charged me $829 without providing any services, which is outright unethical and feels like a scam. There are multiple companies operating under the name Uplift Movers, and I want to make it clear that this review pertains to the one in the Midwest. To the genuine Uplift Movers, I hope you take action against such scammers operating under your name. It's crucial to ensure that customers are not misled by these fraudulent entities, as it damages the trust in your brand."

"Beware of this company! ? Oh Miro, Amanda, and all other staff, its time we give people the truth. If you want the people moving your valuables to be dishonest, rude, and ignorant to all of your questions and requests, this is your team! We called them for a move from LA to Toronto, and they promised us the world. They gave us a price, but once they picked up out items, it was more than double the price when they sent their bill. They advised us to "go pick our items up from the shipping yard," if we didn't like the new price. Additionally, They broke a $5,000 television, and two art pieces valued at over $2,500. Their Canadian partner opened the boxes, and said they would be fired if they packed television and valuables the way Uplift movers did. Save your money, find another moving company, they seem to not be insured the way they say they are. I think everyone should come together and collectively file suit for all the harm they have done."

"The worst customer service I have experienced anywhere, period. I know most movers seem shady but this company was as shady as it gets. The salesperson and owner Miro seemed professional and nice in the beginning but as soon as I paid the deposit everything changed. Over the email Miro and his staff would make fun of my questions, had a condescending tone, and answered my questions with one word like What? or Why? One time I asked for a receipt for the deposit payment and their answer was "why?" Are you kidding me? What kind of business doesn't give receipts after payment? I had to constantly ask for updates, receipts and confirmations and they didn't even email or call to check if my shipment arrived safely. I had to call them once because they stopped responding to my emails about my shipment. Miro answered my call so I asked "May I ask who I'm talking to?" His reply was "WHY?", Shady... This guy definitely seemed to have something to hide. I said "Is this Miro?" He answered "...... yeah" Sketchy! He was very rude on the phone. He answered all my questions with, What?, Why? Huh?, unbelievable. He clearly doesn't know what customer service is and is horrible at it. Some of my shipments were destroyed (boxes were smashed and things inside were broken). I don't recommend this company at all, and if you go with them, prepare to be insulted and mistreated. P.S. Have you noticed that lots of five star reviewers here only have done 1 or 2 reviews?"

"Found out about Uplift Movers from a coworker when moving from USA to Switzerland. Uplift handled to US side pick up to shipping, and their partner in Netherlands handled the receiving and last mile delivery. During the initial pick up of boxes in US, there were some errors in the invoice which I contacted Miro to fix the calculations. He fixed it immediately and handled the paperwork efficiently while maintaining constant updates. Anna also helped with many of my questions. All but one of my boxes arrived without any damage at all, so kudos to Uplift, the shipping company, and the Netherlands counterpart Schmidt Global. The one box that had damage had a tiny gash on the corner. I'm surprised this is all the damage there was considering it was an intercontinental shipping process. A piece of the furniture hinge had snapped off inside. Uplift immediately worked with me to get me through the insurance claiming process. The issue was resolved very quickly and the money was paid out within a week or two. Fantastic service from start to end, at a fraction of the quoted prices from all other movers I enquired. I highly recommend them."

"I write this review due to the incredible service that Uplift Movers provided to me during my move to Portugal. I was shipping my car in a 20' container for the first time so my documents were a mess and several things had to be rescheduled. I finally received my container after several months with a great deal of extra help from Miro and the receiving company in Portugal. Miro provided an incredible amount of extra information and suggestions that helped me get all my stuff shipped. He also held on to my documents for months so they could be sent to the correct location when they were needed. Thank you again for all the assistance provided."
