Man With A Van

"Stay away from this place - they will damage your items and refuse to compensate you. This was our second time using man with a van and it was a terrible experience. We paid by the hour and the guys who did our move were very slow. They took breaks every time they went down to the truck to load it and they were moving so slowly that our building super even commented on it. They took so long that by the time we arrived to our new place we only had an hour left of our reserved time at the loading dock. I wouldn't have minded the pace if that meant that they were taking good care of our items, but sadly a lot of our furniture was damaged in the move because they did not properly prep it before putting it in the truck. Three tables and three barstools were so badly scratched that they need to be replaced and they broke the leg off our dresser and then "repaired" it. I've reached out several times to try to get compensated for these items and management has completely ignored my requests and has done nothing to rectify the situation."

The two movers, Jesus and Jay arrived promptly right before 10 AM and packed away all my belongings within 40 minutes. Big kudos to them, as my elevator is broken and they had to schlep everything down 4 flights of stairs. They were courteous, polite and professional, and handled my things with great care. All items arrived safely to its destination within the hour. For reference, my move was from West New York, New Jersey to Flushing, Queens. Compared to other moving services, this is an excellent deal without sacrificing service. Will definitely use again."
