"(3.5) Rating - We had a fair experience into port. We did not have to park, so we saved on cost. Also, only snacks were available at this location, no food. There were several security ck points and we had to sit and wait to get our group name called which never happened. It took so long until we just got up & headed towards the ship's last check point. Once inside port, the lines were very long for checking in. Security dogs were sniffing bags. Once through final check point onto ship was good. The return home was noticeably quicker. Our cruise was on the Carnival Venezia."

"Piered here for Fleet Week New York 2024. Great location if you are looking for fun things to do in New Your. Small walk to Central Park, short Water Taxi ride to 9/11 Memorial. Very centrally located."

"Title: Disappointing Experience at Pier 88 and Onboard Carnival Venezia On May 17, I and a guest recently embarked on an 11-day cruise on Carnival Venezia from Pier 88 in Manhattan, and I must say, the experience left much to be desired, particularly in logistics and amenities. Starting with parking, the $49 daily rate at the pier is exorbitant, especially given the overall cost of the cruise. It seems reasonable to expect complimentary parking for guests, or at least a discounted rate, during the cruise duration. The terminal experience at Pier 88 was chaotic and poorly managed. Despite being a platinum member of Carnival, which usually offers express entry and priority boarding, the process was disorganized and slow, making us feel more like cattle being herded rather than valued guests. This area desperately needs structured lanes or roped sections to manage the crowd more effectively. Additionally, to my surprise, Carnival Venezia lacks laundry facilities—a first in my 24 cruises with Carnival. Given the prohibition against bringing irons onboard, this lack of amenities is a significant oversight, affecting the comfort and convenience of all passengers. In conclusion, while the terminal and the ship itself need substantial improvements in crowd management and guest amenities, these changes are essential for enhancing the overall passenger experience, especially for those departing from NYC. My rating reflects these challenges: 1 star for both parking and laundry facilities and 2 stars for terminal management. I hope to see improvements in these areas in future voyages."

"We were here end of March 2024. We actually walked to the port and pier 88 from the Megabus terminal a few blocks down. We were onboard the Carnival Venezia. The pier and terminal itself wasn't bad at all but then again we hiked in. The kids were complaining about all the constant honking from the traffic. I can only imagine what it would be like to drive here. Overall we found the directions and staff at the terminal great to work with. We would totally do another cruise out of this terminal and pier. I've posted a number of cool pictures of what it looked like from our ship and to sail in and out of the harbor. It was amazing to see the Statue of Liberty at sunset as we left and then the bridge and skyline of the city at sunrise when we returned early in the morning."
