"The Pearl lives up to its name. I’ve been attending mat and reformer Pilates classes since it opened and the experience has been wonderful. As a relative newcomer to Pilates I immediately felt welcomed. The instructors are awesome and really work to make everyone feel comfortable. This is a great studio to visit if you’re a beginner who’s intimidated by the reformer (like I was)! The small class sizes allow for more personalized attention from the instructors. As a bonus, the space is beautifully designed. I’m thrilled that the Bronx has The Pearl and recommend it to anyone who wants to incorporate more movement in their life."

"This studio is an AMAZING place! I have taken Pilates reformer class, Pilates mat class, Yoga flow class, and Vinyasa Yoga Sculpt. I have also taken my daughter to the Little Yogi's classes, she loves them and has learned new breathing technique's to do at home! I love the classes so much I bought a membership. Each of my instructors were helpful and made me feel welcome. I feel strong and energized every time I leave! The Pearl is a beautiful addition to City Island."

"The Pearl is such a welcoming space that is beautifully designed and decorated; it seems as though each part of the space has been thought of and enhanced with coastal charm. I had a wonderful Power Yoga class with Amy. Although I have done some Yoga classes in the past, I would still say that I am a beginner. Amy gave clear and conscience instructions, and provided modifications where appropriate. Amy definitely challenged me, but at the same time I felt like she was rooting me on to do my best! The Reformer class with Adriene was challenging, but not intimidating and felt like I got a great full body workout. Joann provided an awesome and evenly paced Yoga Flow class (which what else could you ask for on a Sunday morning?) I will definitely be a frequent flyer at The Pearl and experience all that each class and instructor has to offer each week!"
