"Physician is alright. Very cultural in her approach and old school/fob. Automatically speaks to American raised patients in Bangla without asking permission of what we’re comfortable speaking. Unprofessional practices all around because she possibly caters towards elderly desi patients more instead of younger patients. Went here briefly 2 years ago. Switched out to another office after a few visits. The doctor quite literally attempted to draw blood from my wrist with a needle instead of the median cubical vein (failed at that too). Some of her other recommendations on meds are not up to current guidelines. When addressed, she becomes condescending about it. It’s unfathomable to think a PCP is unaware of treating diabetics with GLP-1s when my endocrinologist has treated me with it for years. My mom and siblings still continued to go here as of recent due to convenience of location. They’ve all expressed the same sentiment that Dr. Sheikh is condescending in her demeanor. Today, I called in to inquire about her clinic at LIJ as someone suggested she is based there and the call was extremely unpleasant with her barking at me on the phone. Vivid reminder of why I left this office and can’t recommend it. Hard pass."

"I relocated recently and was looking for a new primary doctor close to my new home. I found Dr. Tania Sheikh in a long list of physicians and just called and made an appointment. I wasnt sure what to expect but I must say when I met her she is just an awesome doctor. She has a warmth about her and is very attentive and was extremely thorough with my issues. She is my primary doctor moving forward and her staff are all so very nice as well."

"Just saw a horrible review and I thought to share my experience. I am in no way trying to be fake about Dr. Tania. I recently became a patient of hers and for the first time in my medical history, I feel like a valued patient. Everyone in the office was very warm and welcoming. She truly took her time with me and asked many questions, and addressed every concern I had. I wholeheartedly say that I trust her and her staff with my health in every aspect."

"I've moved around quite a bit, and I often wonder if the purpose of all those relocations was ultimately to lead me to New York, where I found Dr. Sheikh. Dr. Sheikh stands out for her exceptional care and sensitivity to cultural differences, which instills a great deal of confidence in me. This is especially significant considering my past experiences with other physicians, which were not always positive. Additionally, the staff at her office are incredibly nice and helpful, contributing to a welcoming and supportive environment. This aspect is particularly appreciated, as it complements the high level of care Dr. Sheikh provides. One of the aspects I appreciate most about Dr. Sheikh's practice is the ease and speed with which I can secure appointments, coupled with minimal waiting times once I arrive. Furthermore, her accessibility via email adds an extra layer of comfort, knowing that she is readily available for any concerns or questions. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Sheikh to anyone seeking a caring, understanding, and highly professional primary care physician. Along with her supportive staff, she truly makes a difference."
