"I use to go to dollar general in Shirley every other day when the manager Deno was there he was so helpful to everyone and kind and always smiling . I stopped going for a while alot of people I know did cause the store got run down nothing in order dirty ! Then I went back about 8 months ago and this new manager always had the store organized and clean ! I’d see him himself cleaning and organizing ..these stores need to hire more people like that young man. I stopped going again because I heard he was fired after I asked about him I heard a lot of different story’s but I know for a fact many customers went there because of him and now they will not .! even the wait staff at William Floyd diner refuses to shop there for what they did to that young man . He was there night and day giving everything he had for them . Now back to trash . Very smart dollar general !"
"Not a bad place togo clean and good prices. Only down side they look at customers like criminals im guessing the area. I had a bookbag on and bought items from another store and manager or employee made me open my bookbag and said i had to pay for the stuff because there store sells the same items. They looked on the cam and i was innocent. So that was the down side of going there"
