"I walked into GameStop at 7 PM on a Tuesday 4//23/2024 and the gate was closed. The guy was behind the register counting money. I called the store twice and I watched him hang up the phone. Finally, he looked up and saw me so I put eight fingers up, because I knew the store closed at 8 PM. And was trying to confirm that. The guy walks to the door and asked me "what?" I ask him does the store close at 8 PM and he unconfidently says "uhh I'm going on break". I asked him how long his break will be and he tells me "uhm 45 minutes". I ask how can he be on a 45 minute break when there's only an hour left for the store being open (Mind you, I was polite) and he starts walking away from me without answering, so I asked him for his name and he smirked and walked away from me. I patiently waited about 10 minutes before he left the store completely to go grab food. He came back at around 7:40 and walked into the back. At 7:50. He finally came back out and started messing with the register, never even looking up or letting me into the store, so I stood there, waiting for him to make eye contact until finally he did and a few minutes after 7:50 PM, this guy tells me that the service is down so he can't help me today. I waited for an hour in the freezing cold because this guy wanted to take an early dinner. He shut the store down at 7PM and never expected me to wait until he got off "break". In the end, I wasted my time and money and am offended by this experience. I was going to buy a Ps5 controller and game. Instead, I had to wait a whole day and just took my business to another store. I am a 29yr old male who's been shopping at GameStop since before I was a teen. I have never had this experience before and I have never behaved like a "Karen" in my life, but this guy needs to be fired."
