"Being a C21 customer for decades, I was extremely disappointed when they reopened. It was a joke of a store: half the size, horrible merchandise from obscure brands at ridiculously high prices. I swore I will never come back. About a year later I happened to be in the area and decided to check it out again. Well, I was surprised to see more of designer brands ( I usually look for European designers) in men’s department. The prices were slightly higher than before, but I ended up with a couple of items. As time went on, I went there several times and was pleasantly surprised by finding more familiar European brands as well as some new ones. The pry were somewhat reasonable and I ended up with quite a few items over several months. So, the bottom line is there’s hope. I think the management realized that the customers are looking for quality clothing by brand names at low price and they are trying to bring it back. So, I have faith. Of course, it will never be the C21 like before, but give it a chance. I did."
"Not the same as the early 80's, 90's. They eliminated sooooo many great depts. Still an occasional find."
"I'm glad they open again so I'm able to take my cousin to shop for discount cloth with a good deal. We went to many floors. I thought my cousin will be more interested in buying perfume but he just focusing on sport shoes but he took long time to design what he wants to buy here, LOL."
"Fashion is back! After closing during Covid the company got bought over and they have kind of recently reopened their flagship store downtown by the WTC memorial. I first shopped here back in 1995! It has been my favorite discounted-fashion-designer-clothing all those years. Of course for those who knew how incredible that place was, realistically it’s not the same. Yes there is definitely less choice but don’t listen to the negative comments, there are still plenty of choice and good deals."
