"Dr. Symons is the 3rd primary that I've had since moving here 15 year ago. It took me that long to find someone I was comfortable with. I really like her demeanor. She is informative and compassionate. Her office staff are always nice. Unlike the other primary physicians that I've been to, at Dr. Symons's practice I always see HER, not a PA, and I never feel rushed. She has given me referrals to good specialists when I've needed them. I have become healthier under her care, and I always feel better after I talk to her."

"Let me start by saying, Dr. Symons gets one star based on how fast her office responds to me in my BMG Chart. So her nurses get one star. She gets none. I was a patient of Dr. Symons for about 4 years until I finally switched doctors and switching was the best decision I could have made. When I first saw Dr. Symons she shamed me about my weight, I was heavier than I am now but I was not obese as she and my BMI would like to say, I literally just have a lot of muscle which makes me heavier. She would always make comments about how my cholesterol was probably high and I truly believe she was treating me based solely on my BMI. Second, I had Covid in 2020 and it absolutely destroyed my lungs, causing me to have breathing issues and asthma, especially exercise endued asthma. She ended up sending me for breathing tests, which cost me $300 where the women giving me the tests was telling me that my tests were so much better when I did them again AFTER the inhaler/medicine. After I left, I heard back from Dr. Symons a few days later where she told me my tests looked normal and if I wanted to explore further I would need to make ANOTHER $$$$ appointment with the breathing specialist. At the same time her only suggestion for any other problems I had was to workout which I could not do because I COULD NOT BREATHE. 3, I had been prescribed Prozac by another doctor about two years earlier, my doctor ended up ghosting me and my prescription was running out, I begged and begged Dr Symons to at the very least ween me off of the Prozac so it didn't have to go off cold turkey. This woman absolutely refused over and over again and I ended up going through a really problematic time during the withdrawals of that SSRI. After that I asked her if she would write a prescription for me and to no ones surprise she said no. She told me I would have to do two months of therapy before that. Which would have probably cost me near $1000 before I could even start on any medication. My sister and my sister-in-law also have horror stories about going to this woman, as do many other people. She is so unhelpful I question what made her become a doctor in the first place. Today I had an appointment with my new doctor where she made me feel heard and seen. She is refilling my Prozac prescription and is starting me on an inhaler. I feel really grateful to have finally left Dr. Symons and that I can finally help my emotional, mental and physical state."
